These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wahy LLC ("Wahy," "we," "our," "us"), the maker of the Wahy app (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Wahy, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
Wahy is a prayer companion app. Its core features — accurate prayer times and Qibla direction, the full Qur'an with revelation-context notes, Guided Salah, and a daily du'ā deck — are free, permanently. An optional subscription, Wahy Plus, unlocks additional features described below. We may add, change, or retire features over time as the App evolves; we'll try to give notice of any change that meaningfully reduces what a paid subscription includes.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wahy. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian to make sure you both understand them.
Wahy does not require an account to use its core features. Where the App stores information — such as your prayer log, dhikr counts, or curriculum progress — it is kept on your device unless a specific feature (like Congregation Mode or DUAi) requires sending data elsewhere to function, as described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference. If you use the referral feature, a randomly generated referral code may be shared when you invite others; it is not tied to your name or identity.
Wahy Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that adds Congregation Mode, DUAi, Ummah Finder & QubaMart, and other features marked as Plus within the App. As of this writing, Wahy offers:
Pricing, trial length, and what's included in each plan may change; the current price and terms are always shown in the App and in the App Store listing before you subscribe.
Billing, as required by Apple:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
We don't process payments ourselves — all subscription purchases go through Apple's App Store, and are subject to Apple's own terms in addition to these.
Wahy's Qur'anic text, translation, revelation-context notes, du'ā library, and related religious content are reviewed for accuracy before they ship, and we label areas where scholarly opinion differs rather than presenting a single view as universal. Even so, Wahy is a tool to support your worship — it is not a substitute for a qualified scholar, and nothing in the App should be treated as a formal religious ruling (fatwā). DUAi in particular is an AI-assisted feature that retrieves matching du'ās and suggested acts of worship from our verified library based on what you describe; it does not generate new religious content and its suggestions are not scholarly guidance.
Congregation Mode listens to a live recitation and attempts to identify, in real time, which āyah is being recited, so it can show you the text and meaning as it happens. This is a best-effort recognition feature — background noise, recitation style, or connectivity can affect its accuracy — and it is meant to support your focus during prayer, not replace attentively following the imam yourself. As described in our Privacy Policy, audio is processed only to perform this real-time matching and is not recorded or retained by Wahy.
Explore and Ummah Finder use third-party mapping and places data to help you find nearby mosques, halal food, and other businesses; QubaMart is a directory of Muslim-owned businesses. Wahy does not operate, vet every listing in, or take a cut of any transaction from these businesses — if you buy something or make plans through a listing you found in the App, that transaction is between you and that business, not Wahy.
You agree not to: use Wahy for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's underlying models, source code, or the Qur'anic/audio data it ships with for redistribution; abuse Congregation Mode or DUAi to send harmful, abusive, or unrelated content; interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure; or impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with Wahy.
The Wahy name, logo, and app design are the property of Wahy LLC. Qur'anic text, translations, and other third-party religious or reference content included in the App are used under license or as otherwise permitted, and remain the property of their respective rights holders. Except for the rights we expressly grant you to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, we reserve all rights.
Wahy is provided "as is" and "as available." Prayer time calculations, Qibla direction, and other App outputs are based on standard astronomical and geolocation methods and are provided for your convenience — please use your own judgment, especially in edge cases like extreme latitudes, where different calculation methods can produce different results. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wahy LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You may stop using Wahy at any time, and cancel any subscription through your Apple ID Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, though for a locally-stored, no-account app this will typically mean disabling access to server-dependent features like Congregation Mode or DUAi rather than any account action.
We may update these Terms as the App changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, note it in the App. Continuing to use Wahy after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Wahy LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
