Wahy ("we," "our," "the app") is built with a simple principle: your worship is yours. This policy explains what information Wahy collects, how it's used, and — just as importantly — what we deliberately do not do.
Wahy uses your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for where you are. This calculation happens entirely on your device — your location is never sent to our servers or any third party. If you use Explore to find nearby mosques, halal restaurants, or other businesses, your location is used only to query map results and is not stored by us.
When you use Congregation Mode to follow along with an imam's recitation, your device's microphone captures short audio segments and sends them to a transcription service to identify which verse is being recited. This audio is used only for that real-time matching — Wahy does not record, store, or retain this audio after it has been processed.
When you describe how you're feeling or what you're facing to DUAi, that message is sent to an AI service to help match you with relevant du'as from our verified library. Conversations are not linked to your identity and are not used to train any AI model. DUAi does not store a persistent record of your conversations beyond your device's local app storage, which you can clear at any time.
Wahy does not require you to create an account to use its core features. Information such as your prayer log, dhikr counts, Daily Challenge history, and Istiqamah progress is stored locally on your device. If you use the referral feature, a randomly generated referral code (not tied to your name or personal identity) may be shared when you invite others.
Wahy uses a small number of trusted third-party services to function: a mapping/places service (for Explore), a transcription service (for Congregation Mode and Guided Prayer), and an AI service (for DUAi). These services process the minimum data necessary to perform their specific function, as described above, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Wahy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Wahy after changes means you accept the updated policy.
