Common questions

Support FAQ

For questions about features, pricing, and what Wahy does, see the main FAQ. This one's for when something needs fixing.

How do I report a bug or give feedback?

Email [email protected] with what happened, what you expected instead, and your device and iOS version if you can. Screenshots help a lot. Feature ideas are just as welcome — several things already in the App started as a message like this.

How do I manage or cancel my Wahy Plus subscription?

Wahy Plus billing goes through Apple, not us — open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Wahy. From there you can switch plans or turn off auto-renewal. See our Terms of Use for the full billing details Apple requires us to disclose.

Prayer times or Qibla direction look off for my location — what should I do?

First, check that Wahy has permission to use your precise location (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Wahy → While Using the App). If it still looks wrong after that, email us the city and what you're seeing versus what you expect — calculation method differences near certain latitudes are a known edge case we're happy to look into.

Congregation Mode isn't recognizing the recitation — why?

It's a best-effort, real-time feature, and background noise, distance from the reciter, or a weak connection can all affect it. If it's consistently struggling at a specific masjid or with a specific reciter's style, tell us — that kind of pattern is exactly what helps us improve it.

I found an error in the Qur'anic text, translation, or another religious detail — how do I report it?

Please tell us right away at [email protected] with the exact surah and āyah, or the screen you saw it on. We treat this content seriously and review it before anything ships, but we'd rather have a second and third set of eyes.

Is my data safe?

Short answer: Wahy doesn't require an account, most of what it stores stays on your device, and we don't sell your data or run ads. The full picture — including what Congregation Mode and DUAi send elsewhere to work, and why — is in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Since Wahy doesn't use an account for its core features, deleting the App from your device removes the locally-stored data — prayer log, dhikr counts, curriculum progress — along with it. If you've contacted us by email, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
